A mostly safe for work comic by Jodi Wegner.
March 27, 2022 Uh oh. That sounds ominous. The church here is based on the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene, but it's the old building, which I love more than the new one. Lilah is a member of CUUPS, which stands for Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans, a group I used to be a member of when my ex wife and I were together. I haven't gone to the UU Church in a long time, but Lilah still goes there, so we'll see what her adventures are like. The storyline I am about to begin came about because last month, I lost a client who passed away, and a week later I discovered that a friend of mine who lived in Texas, whom I hadn't seen in years, and who was not only a fan of my comic, but also an inspiration for it, had also passed on last October, and I didn't know. We had spoken briefly about a month before, and she hadn't been doing so well, but I don't have any information about her death. Her name was Kat, and she was one of two friends I have with that name, which inspired the character of my Kat, in name only. There are two comics that I have written that she inspired. The first is comic #41: Bad Kitty! where Johnny pokes Kat and she tickles him back and he tells her "Bad kitty!" This actually happened between us while on the bus. The second comic she inspired was #65: Revenge of the Witch. In that comic, Lilah tricks the Mormons into thinking she was about to sacrifice a cat to drive them away. This story comes directly from something Kat did in Texas, and she told me about it. So the following comics are a way of helping me through my grief, and they may include some topics that are triggering for people, but hopefully you will come along this journey with me and it will be somewhat enjoyable." I feel like I have no right to ask for money anymore considering how bad I've been at keeping up with my comic. I do appreciate the patrons I had for a time. You helped me to page for my domain name renewal last year, and I still have some money saved up from those pledges to help me keep the website up when both the domain and hosting are up for renewal next year. If you do want to hel me, there are several ways you can. First, I do still have some designs up in my store on Cafepress. Just click the Store on the top menu of this page and it will take you there. I have a number of pretty cool designs up there that you can get on T-shirts and other things. Secondly, I am on Patreon, a site for artists to get donations from their fans to help support their work, generally in exchange for incentives. I offer several incentives on my page. Please vote for me on topwebcomics.com. If you love this comic as much as I do, please take the time and help support my comic by helping more people find it. It's quick and easy to vote, and you can do it once every 24 hours. After playing around with the voting myself, I've discovered that you can only vote once per location, not device.
