A mostly safe for work comic by Jodi Wegner.
When I first conceived this comic over a year ago, and I came up with the idea for Kat's character, this is one of the original strips I had planned to make. It is one of the few of my original ideas I didn't make in the first few. I could never seem to get Kat alone in the house in the storyline until just now. I think it turned out pretty well, though. Almost exactly how I had envisioned it. I had a lot of trouble drawing this one. You should have seen the first few times I tried to draw Kat with her legs crossed. But as I did it more and more, it got better and better. I'm happy with the result. It's times like this when I'm glad I still do an initial sketch of the comic in my sketch book before I try to draw it on the final paper. It adds more time to how long it takes to finish a comic (and this one took me three and a half hours to write) because I am drawing the same picture three times, but it can be well worth the effort to see a beautiful piece of art like this one. I had not originally planned to draw Kat so small in these panels. I'm not sure why it turned out that way, but I kind of like it. All that empty space on the floor really adds to the sense of aloneness that makes the comic work. Plus, I really love coloring that tile pattern I came up with from my very first comic. It's a new month, so please vote for me on topwebcomics.com. If you love this comic as much as I do, please take the time and help support my comic by helping more people find it. It's quick and easy to vote, and you can do it once every 24 hours. After playing around with the voting myself, I've discovered that you can only vote once per location, not device.
